Thanking you all for your support and wishing you a very happy Christmas
This week has been another monumental week for the Hillsborough Family Support Group:
Firstly, on 19th December, we had the fabulous news that the original inquest verdicts had been quashed, this is news all our families have waited over 23 years to hear:

Thank you all for your support. We wish you all a peaceful Christmas and happy and healthy New Year.
I know that this is a little late, but I just want to say how unbelievably proud I am to be from Liverpool when there are such incredible people as yourselves campaigning so hard whilst maintaining utter dignity and respect. I have contacted you before now, my school and I are working to raise money for this group, and as the main organiser I really hope that it can be of any small use to you.
Thank you for your time, and well done to everyone involved,
Georgia Mason,

Ok 1st point is what a song to choose, Excellent. My brother died last year of alcohlism at 41. Yes he was there. But I have been depressed and lonely since his death and suicidal. But now that Justice is being done and i can feel the whole nation is behind us and after 23 years of waiting it wont be long now. Im not suicidle any more. THANK YOU
To all at the Hillsborough Family Support group.
We have campaigned for this so long and to finally hear the news about the verdicts was fantastic, and then to hear the added news that the song was no 1 was brilliant.
This country is finally taking notice of everything we have been saying for all of these years, and although our 96 friends can’t be with us in person, we know deep down that they are looking at down at us all and thanking us for the endless battles we have faced, fought and are now winning.
You’ll never walk alone is not only the most famous football song ever, but also the most fitting song to our departed friends and fellow supporters, and we have proved time after time, that we will NEVER let those 96 or their families EVER walk alone.
I didn’t personally know anyone involved but on behalf of every Liverpool FC supporter everywhere, i want to say a massive thank you to EVERYONE at the HFSG and want you all to know that we will back you 100% of the way ( as we always have ).
Wishing you the best possible New Year you could have and hears to even better news in 2013.
Love,
Barry Knowles,
West Midlands
