Margaret Aspinall

Some words from our Chairman, Margaret Aspinall:

”We, the HFSG, are waiting with bated breath for the report to be shared with us on Wednesday.
Finally, after 23 years of pain, heartache and stress we are hoping that this time the REAL truth, the TRUTHFUL truth will prevail and no stones will be left unturned. We hope that all the fans and survivors will be exonerated after all these years of lies, deceit and coverups.

For our 96 loved ones we hope and pray that we will get enough new evidence to change the flawed inquest verdicts and finally we will get to the truth of what happened after 3.15pm on 15th April 1989.

May God bless you all, united we stand with hope in our hearts.”

i HAVE BEEN A FOOTBALL SUPPORTER FOR 34 YEARS AND MANCHESTER CITY SEASON TICKET HOLDER FOR 20 OF THEM, i would like to tell you i am full of admiration for everyone involved with hfsg , i have argued with many ignorant people over the last 23 years who believed the lies that the media have peddled as the truth ,in fact i like many decent ordinary football supporters have always known that the hillsborough disaster has been a complete cover up by the police and other government agencies from the day it occured.people will never forget hillsborough, the day 96 people went to watch a football match and never came home.thank god the truth has finally been revealed and now justice can take place…wishing you all the very best now and always! rip the 96.

  • Debra says:

23 LONG AND PAINFUL YEARS - THE DIGNITY SHOWN BY THE FAMILIES HAS BEEN AMAZING IN STARK CONTRAST TO THOSE WHO HAVE LIED AND COVERED UP THE APPALLING TRUTH OF WHAT HAPPENED THAT TERRIBLE DAY IN 1989. 96 SOULS WENT TO WATCH A FOOTBALL MATCH AND NEVER CAME HOME - MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE FAMILIES AND TO THE 96 - GOD BLESS, JUSTICE IS NEARLY THERE.

I am so glad that after all the years of struggle that the victims families have been through that the truth has finally emerged. However it should never had taken so long. the dignity with which your campaign has been conducted is remarkable. You have fought against those who would try and hid the truth and you have won. `When bad men combine the good must associate, else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptable struggle` You have stood together and stood strong and won, bless you all on the day that saw the truth about what happened to your loved ones emerge. Accountability must surely follow?

  • DEE Mcgillis says:

  • Caroline Bailey says:

At long last people are listening. the sun claimed to have published the truth, however i hope and pray that tomorrow is the start of the final journey for justice and for the truth to be freed. the only truths are that 96 innocent people lost their lives watching a football match, the police made horrific errors of judgement, the emergency services stood by whilst untrained football fans fought to save lives of the dying and finally the sun newspaper is a disgrace which published vile lies about the surviving liverpool fans.

my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
    justice will prevail
Maybe then the 96 innocent fans can rest in peace.
